Point of view on the state of mental health of Black Youth:  "Black teens are constantly looked down on or treated differently which is affecting our mental health.  Making a positive impact is so important to me because I know how precious and amazing being black is. My skin is perfect."

3 fun facts:

  • I love advocating
  • I love amusement parks

Point of view on the state of mental health of Black Youth:  "I feel that the state of mental health in black youth is lacking because the parents are just becoming aware for themselves. It will take time to pass down the education and the idea that it's okay for the black community to need help.  I feel that I can help learn and spread awareness about mental health information and its importance in the youth community."

3 fun facts:

  • I enjoy playing basketball
  • My favorite subject is math
  • I like to cook

Point of view on the state of mental health of Black Youth:  "The mental state of black youth could be better than it is now. Black students have to work harder than students of other races to achieve their goals. I feel that I can help people get a better understanding of what black students are going through. "

3 fun facts:

  • I love Harry Potter and Anime.
  • I like to skateboard.
  • I do theater and play 2 instruments.

Point of view on the state of mental health of Black Youth: "The state of Black youth's mental health is really upsetting because it is often overlooked in society. I feel I could make a positive difference by informing and helping rather than contributing to the negative. "

Point of view on the state of mental health of Black Youth: "The state of mental health between the black youth is revolved around racism, insecurities, & bullying due to the pigment of our skin. Personally, with everything I’ve dealt with as an African- American child, I know what it feels like to want someone to listen. I can be that for anyone!"

3 fun facts:

  • I play basketball:)
  • I used to dance for a company in middle school, and actually might get back into dance.
  • I’m writing a book on black culture

Point of view on the state of mental health of Black Youth: "Black Youth receive little to no mental health support but are expected to put on a face of being well-put-together.  I feel like I can make a positive difference because I relate to so many and therefore, I can be a voice for many."   3.

3 fun facts:
